Seckford Hall - A romantic wedding venue in the heart of Suffolk, East Anglia
Prior to your booking, we would be delighted to show you and your family around the Hotel and discuss your arrangements informally. A provisional booking can then be made and held for you without obligation, for 7 days. Your written confirmation to Seckford Hall will then be required together with a deposit. From then on you can sit back and rest assured that you have placed yourselves in the capable hands of our management and staff, who have seen many bridal couples enjoy their happy day. There are only fifty-two Saturdays in a year! If you are planning to get married on one of them may we suggest that you book with us early to avoid disappointment. We only cater for one Wedding Reception a day in the hotel to enable us to give you our very best attention. It is not permissible to play religious music during the ceremony nor are religious items allowed in the room, please check with the Registrar for details. Use of the Lakeside Suite for a Civil Ceremony may possibly create the need to hire a Marquee to accommodate the wedding breakfast. For information and to check availability please contact Superintendent Registrar on 01394 387876 Coloured linings, swags and tails, and even luxury table linen can all be colour co-ordinated to great effect. Evening Receptions The number of additional guests is limited to the capacity of the room, to a maximum of 140 people. You may perhaps have 100 guests in the afternoon, and invite 40 more for the evening function. Fine Food 3. The formal seated and served hot luncheon. Our staff are in close attendance to ensure good service to your
guests. The Drinks During the meal you may like us to serve wine to your guests, perhaps a glass of white wine with the starter and then a choice of red or white wine with the main course. Prices may be found in our wine list. For the toasts and with the cake cutting, sparkling wine can be
served. A good quality sparkling wine looks like champagne and tastes
similar but is not quite so dry and is much less expensive. A good selection of wines may be found in our wine list with a wide range of prices. We do not recommend the service of beer at a Wedding Reception. Naturally, a good selection of soft drinks, squashes, colas etc are always available, but the bar may be opened after toasts on request. Whatever the style of wedding celebration you choose, the team at Seckford are capable of organising every detail so you can relax and enjoy your special day. For the larger wedding the Lakeside Suite overlooking the gardens has been a firm favourite for many years seating 120 comfortably. Smaller intimate gatherings for close family and friends can also be accommodated. For the smaller reception they are happy to accommodate mid week weddings which enjoy a reduced rate tariff. Mid week the Hotel is more flexible allowing one night multiple room bookings, ideal for an intimate family get together. Weekends two nights accommodation must be booked and availability is usually more limited. The hall is licensed for civil ceremonies and from the initial planning and booking of your wedding, to the day itself, the team of professionals will make sure your day runs to perfection. If
you are looking for possible wedding venues in Suffolk or East Anglia,
come and visit Seckford Hall. We provide an attractive wedding venue,
complete wedding service and top quality accommodation all under
one roof. 
Seckford Hall is licensed for Civil Ceremonies and our delightful
oak-panelled Great Hall can seat up to 30 people or our Lakeside
Suite can seat 120 guests. There is a room hire charge for the Civil
Ceremony and we can arrange for floral decorations and music —
perhaps a harpist!
This can give a special feeling to the great day. Reminiscent of
Henley and Garden Parties it is attractively packaged, with windows,
french doors, carpet and chandeliers. Heaters will keep the Marquee
warm no matter what the temperature is outside.
