Seckford Hall Hotel has recently been award The Suffolk Carbon Charter (Bronze Level)

The Carbon Charter is awarded to companies that are monitoring and reducing their carbon emissions.  It is intended to provide public recognition of this vital step to our shared goal of creating the Greenest County.  The Bronze level recognises companies taking their environmental responsibility seriously; with effective carbon monitoring and reduction plans in place.

The panel were impressed with Seckford Halls desire to tackle the energy efficiency of their premises & the precise & regular monitoring of utility data.

Mark Suddes, Operations Director, commented: “I am absolutely delighted that we have been awarded a Carbon Charter. We have further plans to implement sustainable procurement procedures, involving the staff in the energy reduction program & we are also looking to investigate the use of biomass heating to replace fossil fuel technologies.” He added. “We also want to actively encourage our guest to also respect our carbon charter and where possible join us in reducing our carbon foot print. This can be done in simple ways such as switching off lights, turning televisions off and being water wise. We recognise that we have environmental responsibility and are committed to working towards a sustainable future.”
