Seckford Hall hotel opened its’ doors last week to EACH (East Anglia Children’s Hospice) to host a very special coffee and cakes morning. The event raised nearly £900 for the charity.
As part of their celebratory week of events to mark the completion of their first phase of refurbishments, freshly made cakes, scones and other delights were baked by the team of talented chefs at the hotel, and by Cameron Marshall owner and chef of The Boathouse Restaurant in Dedham. Local business, Paddy and Scotts, sponsored the coffee for the event.
Mark Suddes, Operations Director, commented: “EACH is our nominated local charity and we have been helping them with various projects during the year. It made sense for them to be part of our special opening week of events at the hotel. All proceeds from the ticket sales and raffle went directly to EACH and delighted that so many people came along and supported the wonderful work they do as an organisation.” He added: “I would like to thank Paddy and Scotts and The Boathouse Restaurant for helping to sponsor the event, it is great to be working with like minded local businesses with one common cause in mind.”
Vanessa Bell, Suffolk Fundraiser for EACH commented. “We were delighted that Seckford Hall asked us to be part of their opening week. We really appreciate the support they have given to us this year and we were thrilled that the Cake and Coffee morning was such a great success. Everyone really enjoyed themselves in the beautiful setting of Seckford Hall Hotel. We would like to thank Mark and his staff for helping to raise vital funds for EACH through such a lovely event and of course a big thank you to those who came along in support.”
