Thousands descended into the streets of Woodbridge to celebrate the return of the towns’ annual carnival, on what was one of the hottest days of the year.
Seckford Hall was delighted to support the Woodbridge Carnival, with staff swapping their day jobs for new roles! The theme of the float encompassed all that Seckford is about. A full size bed and a table and chairs set for dinner took centre stage, with around 20 staff dressed in costumes ranging from a bride and groom to a suit of armour, not the best costume in the scorching heat!
Mark Suddes, Operations Director, commented: “This event has come at a great time for us. Recently we announced a multi- million pound investment, a refurbishment that will transform our hotel into a new era of luxury. This event gave us the opportunity to showcase all that we are about. It also gave the staff an opportunity to come together outside of work and to have some fun.”
He added: “ I am glad that the local businesses in Woodbridge got together and have had the forethought to bring such a great community spirited event back to Woodbridge. Graham Shemmings did a great job together with his team to make the event the success it was. We will all be certainly supporting it again next year.”
