With you looking to have your wedding celebrations in the UK, what made Seckford Hall Hotel and Spa, stand out for you?
We really liked the historic setting including the fantastic architecture & landscape; as well as the feeling of you having a professional wedding team.
How easy was it to do your initial tour and plan your wedding with you living overseas and not in the UK?
It was easier than expected as we were able to visit in person with plenty of time because we had clear and friendly guidance from the wedding team.
Tell us about your wedding journey in the lead up to your wedding and how did you feel?
Our dream was to get married in an old and romantic setting in the UK whilst sharing it with our friends and family. Seckford Hall fitted this perfectly. We thought we would be very nervous leading up to the wedding, but thanks to your amazing team we felt more relaxed and were very excited. Even though there was a lot to organise, Seckford hall and all of the suppliers took most of our stress away and we had a great time.
With amazing ceremony spaces available, where did you choose and why?
We chose to be outside and at the band stand. We really liked the intimacy of the space and the amazing walled garden. Another great option we liked was by the lake, which was a great spot for our reception drinks and photos. We appreciated the hall setting up inside as well, just in case it rained.
What was your favourite moment of the day?
Hearing our vows to each other in the amazing setting; we decided to hear them for the first time on the day and only the celebrant knew what we had written.
Tell us all about your food! What did you choose and why?
The food was fantastic! Our highlights were the Coq au Vin and tiger prawn cocktail. Our guests also really enjoyed the canapes and the street food later in the evening.
With unlimited photo opportunities, where was your favourite spot?
The walled garden with the Hall behind was our favourite spot as it’s so romantic and peaceful.
Tell us about your evening reception, where did you have this, tell us about the space you used and how?
During the evening we made use of the marquee and the dance floor area, we liked how this is a more private part of the hall.
Did either of you stay the night before at Seckford Hall Hotel and Spa? Did you enjoy being onsite the night before?
Yes we did, we enjoyed having more time to organise our decorations etc. and to have some time to calmly begin our big day. Lovely breakfast and we appreciated Kingsley helping everything run smoothly on the day.
Did you enjoy Seckford Hall Hotel and Spa, the day following your wedding? What did you do?
We sure did, we had a lovely time with our friends and family at breakfast then made use of the spa and the hotel for most of the day!
Any suppliers that you would recommend to others? Perhaps your photographer or florist?
Our photographer and good friends Mirijam and Kevin were fantastic. We would recommend Christine’s florist, Mandy was very easy to chat with and we managed to arrange everything via videocalls and the flowers looked amazing on the day. We would also recommend Sparkling Celebrant, Catherine was very helpful in shaping our ceremony for what we liked and she gave us a lot of confidence ahead of the day. We would also recommend our other suppliers which were all brilliant: singer Dionne Clarke, hair stylist HD Glow, DJ Flame Entertainment and wedding cake by Pastry Mama.
